D43 Trainees Faith Okaalo and William Ochieng to receive Masters of Public Health from Brown University

William Ochien'g and Faith Okaalo have completed MPH degrees from the Brown School of Public Health with the support of the Brown/Moi Training Program for the Prevention of HIV-related Cervical Cancer (5D43TW011317).

William Ochien'g's master thesis was a retrospective cohort study that focused on the survival outcomes of cervical cancer patients living with HIV and those not living with HIV in Western Kenya. The study also assessed some of the factors associated with the survival outcomes of cervical cancer patients in the study area. William has returned to Kenya as a trainee with the D43 grant.

Faith Okaalo's master thesis was a qualitative study that focused on understanding the factors associated with retention in care among patients receiving treatment for cervical dysplasia in Western Kenya. Faith has returned to Kenya as a trainee with the D43 grant.
