The GHI is thrilled to announce an exciting job opportunity for a Project Coordinator working on a research project with a team of researchers from the U.S. and Tanzania.

Job Description:

The Project Coordinator will ensure coordination among all study team members, including those based at Brown University, the University of Florida, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences in Tanzania. The Project Coordinator will be based on campus at Brown University, but will travel occasionally to Dar Salaam, Tanzania and assist research staff with various aspects of study preparation, including developing study protocols, purchasing of local and international supplies, and applying locally for study approval from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences’ local Institutional Review Board. The Project Coordinator will also aid the site-PI in Tanzania with overseeing data collection, data management, and quality assurance. The project manager will support the study by assisting investigators with preparing manuscripts for submission based on the results of the various studies under this protocol.

The Project Coordinator will convene monthly virtual meetings that will involve all key personnel under this proposal at all collaborating institutions. Furthermore, the Project Coordinator will remain in regular communication with all members of the study team to ensure seamless coordination throughout the study. Finally, the Project Coordinator will make regular trips between the United States and Tanzania to support both US and Tanzanian investigators with various aspects of the project.

This is a fixed-term position with an end date of 4/30/2028, which may be extended based upon available funding.
