Dr. Huang grew up in an underserved, low-income community surrounded by immigrants, which built her foundation for recognizing cultural and generational differences in healthcare. These experiences have allowed her to lead community-wide efforts to alleviate food insecurity through food recovery programs and help address poor medication and primary care access through hosting free health fairs. Her Taishanese background allowed her to appreciate the intersection between her Traditional Chinese Medicine cultural background and Western allopathic medicine training. Dr. Huang hopes to continue these passions to grow her community-wide efforts into more global projects as part of the BRIGHT Pathway.
