Brown University Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE), and its predecessor the Global Health Initiative, has been managing research and capacity training programs in low and middle income (LMIC) countries for 32 years. CGHE has led research training programs in Kenya, Cambodia, Ghana, India, Philippines, Brazil, Peru, and Ukraine.

NEZLAMNI Building Capacity in HIV/TB and Mental Health is a research training program designed to strengthen research capacity in HIV, tuberculosis (TB), substance use disorders (SUD), and mental health in conflict-affected settings. Now in it's second year, the program is recruiting Master's level, doctoral-level, or short course candidates.
Emerging infectious diseases are a growing threat and present major challenges to communities worldwide. The Emerging Infectious Disease and HIV Scholars Program (HEIDS) program seeks to develop a physician-scientist workforce focused on clinical research to inform practical responses to HIV and associated infections over the next decades.
NAMBARI, the Moi-Brown Partnership for HIV Biostatistics Training, is a research training program to build biostatistics capacity for HIV research at Moi University. It focuses on training for students, faculty and technical staff in Kenya. This program is supported by the Fogarty International Center at the US National Institutes of Health (D43TW010050).
