Center for Global Health Equity

Dr. Furst is a pediatrics resident interested in infectious disease. She worked with immigrant and refugee patients in medical school which sparked an interest in global health. She is passionate about global infectious diseases, especially infections such as HIV and tuberculosis which are treatable, but access is limited in low-resource areas, leading to increased disease severity. She is planning to research HIV exposures and infections in resource-limited communities.
