Marina Perez-Greer, MD
Biography
Dr. Perez-Greer grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico, where her early volunteer work at a local pediatric oncology hospital sparked a passion for clinical medicine, global health, and a drive to mitigate social determinants of health. While pursuing her undergraduate studies, Dr. Perez-Greer worked directly with clinical teams in rural Tanzania, gaining insight into resource-limited healthcare delivery. Throughout medical school, she participated in intervention-based research focused on maternal and infant health in Mexico and Ecuador, further solidifying her commitment to create partnerships in limited-resource communities that enable the community members to build sustainable access to preventative care. Now as the Health Equity Chief for the Emergency Medicine residency program, Dr. Perez-Greer remains dedicated to helping create sustainable, equity-focused interventions that improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations both locally and globally.
