Mary Yarney, MD
Biography
Dr. Mary Yarney is a Pediatrics resident at Brown who views herself as a global citizen and has a passion for global pediatric health, health equity, and culturally responsive care. Inspired by her family's longstanding work in Ghana, she is passionate about building sustainable partnerships that advance child health and health equity. Her interests include emergency medicine, implementation science, adolescent feminine health, pediatric health literacy, and developing culturally responsive educational tools for children and families. She hopes to pursue a career in Pediatric Emergency Medicine while advancing equitable healthcare for children both locally and globally. Through BRIGHT, she looks forward to learning from communities, mentors, and colleagues while working toward a future where all children have the opportunity to thrive.
