Dr. Radigan first became interested in global health as undergraduate, when she spent several months working in a hospital outside Buenos Aires, Argentina, for an internship. Her time in the hospital and specifically the labor and delivery department provided an early understanding of how healthcare systems, cultural context, and available resources influence a patient's care. These experiences encouraged her to pursue medicine and fostered a continued interest in caring for underserved populations. During medical school, she participated in two annual medical outreach trips to a rural community in the Dominican Republic, where she helped collaborate with healthcare providers to provide primary and urgent care alongside pediatric, ophthalmologic, dental, and pharmacy services. She also volunteered and later served in a leadership role at a student-run clinic in a Hartford homeless shelter, helping provide primary care and connect patients with ongoing services. Through these different experiences, Dr. Radigan developed an appreciation for community-driven and sustainable partnerships in healthcare, both locally and internationally. Aside from global health, she has particular interest in infectious disease and ultrasound.
