Salil Chaudhry, MD
Biography
Dr. Chaudhry is the son of two immigrants who moved from India when they were young. Growing up in this environment gave him a deep appreciation of the differences, both positive and negative, that individuals face from both an economic and healthcare perspective in developing nations. Growing up in a small town in upstate New York, Dr. Chaudhry often spent time volunteering at public libraries and soup kitchens in an effort to better understand and be a part of his community. As a college and medical student in Boston, Dr. Chaudhry had the opportunity to volunteer and help work with the underserved community in the Greater Boston area while serving as a trainee at a safety-net hospital. Here he had the opportunity to participate in house visits, work in tandem with shelters, and provide medical assistance to individuals struggling economically and with substance use disorder. These experiences have allowed him to gain a deep passion to serve those who are less fortunate and underserved.
